OKINAWA...... finally done!

..... This was the Original OKINAWA 2015 Blog GOES...

😌😌😌😌😌 As you can see it wasn't really done... NO PICTURES are showing when I thought I successfully posted it.
 Well anyway lemme just accomplish this then 😊

     Never thought we would be back here after a year........ Plus we're kind of procrastinating because of the days that we will be taking our days off, thinking that work won't really allow us, but all they said was if you have a plane ticket as a proff then we can be allowed...And in just a few days.. 3 weeks prep (including ... The acquiring of our Japan Visa) that was we're back here on the largest Ryukyu Islands... Yeeeeheeeee😊. Nothing much to do but I guess A LOT of shopping on and off base... And we also attended D's MBA graduation where she graduated with honors.... We're super dupppppper proud!!!

     Our flight was scheduled on a Friday... So basically I have to admit, I wasn't able to take some rest at all because of all the preparation not just with our stuffs but with Ikie's (R playful Yorkie) stuff too.. He's staying with my family while we are here in Japan.
Flight was 10:30 on board China Airlines.. Had a 5 hour lay over in Taipei where I finally had a good almost 2 hour NAP???  Good thing they have this lounge area....

    Just an hour before we were scheduled to board, we were starving... Had to direct ourselves to exchange some NTs (Taiwan's Currency) we only exchanged a minimal amount of P500 for a NT326 and grabbed ourselves some food.

   Our gate has been changed so we basically traversed to the other side of the airport...

   Look at the plane that would take us to Okinawa... Gonna be my first time to ride a 2 Floor Plane... So huge isn't?


    Our flight was a bit delayed or should I say really delayed due to ground traffic... We're already on board at 5:30PM and expected to tale off at 5:45PM but we only took off an hour after... Inside the craft I again watched a movie and V played some games...

   It took us forever to get to Okinawa... Like we arrived around almost 10PM Japan time... Japan's time is an hour ahead as we all know from Manila and Taiwan.

And you know you are in The Land of the Rising Sun when the Comfort Room is undeniably Comfeee

             It was one very exhausted day indeed and a good rest was well needed...... No prepared itinerary though just pure vacation and shopping. Lurve it =)

Some Unfinished Blog.............

     It's been almost a year since I have visited my very own BLOG and my oh my... I was surprised to see that there are still quite a few who finds time to see it. Anyway, checking on it just right now I feel so ashamed of myself to see my OKINAWA POST unfinished....... (don't worry I'll fix that today... I will)Isn't that so heart breaking??? I know I'm kind of overreacting... but after everything I've been through or should I say MY FAMILY's been through....... I just wanted to do NOTHING but THINK I guess....   

  I remember mentioning that Mom passed away in my OKINAWA POST... I think I did... ERRRR.. I am, well- weighed down once again to say this that after 9 months of mourning, my DADDY succumbed to ALS back in October 14, 2015 --- Mom gave up her fight after almost 10 years of battling with CHRONIC GLOMERULONEPHRITIS ... I will no longer go into details, there's still this twitch in my heart, it still pained me a lot. It was such an ordeal each and everyday for my other two sisters and I... up until today, we really find it hard to believe that we no longer have our parents physically and it's kinda odd when we were processing papers that we are now called ORPHANS... but LIFE must go on.

   So let me just finish my OKINAWA post and after which I have lots of things to share.....

 own, but this girl's own family.....😊......✌️

      Im still on CLOUD NINE, several hours after watching my niece's <Ashley Alcayde> over the very prominent youth oriented The Voice Kids Season 2 show.... It was a release long overdue.. I never expected that the same naive shy type girl like me will have this courage to join singing contest, in the first place, after all it was really her first contest ever and yup.... She joined such a huge one! So I was like, c'mon Ash how did it go? How did it happen? But really Ashie TitaNinang is way toooooooo proud of this... Really!!! Like, I should be sleeping by now, but this THING is quite overwhelming! 😍😍😍

     After your performance, I was still in awe that my own page was outnumbered plus the overflowing comments and likes, we are receiving... I'm just so proud of you and I just can't get enough of everything.. As I've said I'm still on cloud nine.. Dunno when this will end❔🔚🔚❔

     I'm happy that, finally I get to watch you perform. I regret the fact that I wasn't physically there to support you ~but I'm glad, I wasn't there otherwise I could have been rushed to ER, I might have passed out due to excitement and all☺️Kidding aside, 👊 You're the best! Love your own ayt? Whatever happens, I've got your back kiddo!      Yeah..... I know I was kind of out for such a long time... Been busee doing nothing a lot lately... I guess I'm still in so much pain since Mom's passing last December... And I know, life must move on... So for my first entry this year is our travel this month? This year? And we're back in Okinawa Japan🗾

....... We made a vow to never ever ABSENT ourselves on our new JOB to any nonsense reason,but this SuperMario gave us a reason to be stuck and just be confined within our humble abode😊 It wasn't really worth the risk to go out after all it was a heavy downpour since last night...same as what Ondoy had us experienced nearly 5 years ago.....plus that fact that we already gave it a try early this morning and ended up soaking wet and dismayed😔 we went back home separately😕 

    It was indeed a bed beather today but the thought of losing 1day pay, well all I can do is Sigh.... anyways, it's our safety that is at risk here. Tried to sleep but my mind is just abou the money money money... ahihihi 💲💲💲⭕️

    Anyways, I really wanted to be productive today but I'm just too lazy to get up! So I just decided to cuddle within the comforts of my cozy blanket but still too sluggish to even sleep? arrrrgh duh😕then I decided to surf the net..... then I got tired of it! So here I am blogging with nothing to say😧 well maybe I'll kust sleep and so some sound tripping🎧

reBlogging....... The Clog😊

    I have been itching to blog about so many things but time won't allow me. Really now......was I that busy lately that I had no slot for my fave thing to do. Apart from this, I wasn't really into baking  too..... so what happened then? Perhaps, we were really that buseeee completing requirements for our new job with the new companeeee. Anywayzzzzz, yup we had a short vacay over the lil island of Okinawa back in March and hopefully, if time would allow, I would be able to share a few things and of course photos of that  instantaneous trip... Aside from that we also had quite an extravagant vacay over to the island of BoRacay!!!!!!! I must say it was the best so far! but really it was cut short...... eRrrr! We stayed at Discovery Shores for 3 days and it felt like we won this trip on some contest or whatever beCuzzzzzz we did not spend any single cent.... all expense paid courtesy of tita Baby and Tito Boy.... myOhmy, guys you are the best!💋 

Oh yup we (SWEET BLISS Cupcakes) also had joined about 2 bazaars last summer..... maybe I will never ever join bazaars EVEr again😒... it was really tedious especially if you are a one man band inside the kitchen... extra hand is not enough... think I need maybe 2 to 3 more😊

I also celebrated my 34th year here on earth and it was awesome! Becuzzzzzz I got to eat a Chocolate Caramelie cake from Goldilocks.... loved it!😋😋😋  (ang babaw lang..... hehe)

And yes, we already signed off from Sykes/ICT after having been under their care for almost 8 years.... rested for almost 6 months and still kindOfffffffffff complaining that it wasn't enough😉...... hoped that we can be a buMmeR for D rest of our lives! Imagine where we would be ending up...... harhar! But back to reality before June ended..... we started our training and gained aLottttttt of friends and one Errrrrr😉 its really inevitable.... right? So there goes what happened......

      By the way..... I wasn't really into baking like what I did from July 2013 to maybe May2014..... but I did some baking and decorating.....

1999 was the year when Britney emerged as the new singing POP sensation
and I was one of those that...let us say that went GAGA over her. I can still
remember crystal clear on how I purposely copied her every move and even Britney's fashion.
How I loved her songs and patiently waited for her music videos as it was freshly released on MTv... and how I struggled so hard just so my Daddy will buy me a copy of all her album as soon as it hits the Philippines...
 I simply adored her face and Britney's well sculptured body I even had to maintain a body like hers of course minus the ______ 😊...
     Lookin' back almost 15 years after... I can't help but to mull over how time flies so hastily...
It feels as if Im still that young girl who aspired to be like Britney... Please Hit me Baby One More Time... Im utterly drift away 😔

     Baguio is ❤️... don't yah agree?  Capping off this year with a good leisurely travel up north... my fave part of the Philippines... We had a blast! Blogging for it real soon.. hopefully.

Sickness Sucks! being in the ER sucks!

      Up to this date... a month in counting I've been confined with my allergies and I even gave some to my partner... Again and again and again we visited The Hospital every 2 months since July... and we're back to the ER so to speak... the worst part is we've been here since we don't know when... the ER is packed... so no vacancies at all, with no room for arguments, she was placed in the Isolation room... and I did not intend to take a pic..dunno why... the place is cozy but I honestly don't feel like being here...  

     I wanna go home and I want her to feel good now... If not being good at least she may feel ok... at least...

Cramming!!!

    Who says we cannot make a cake in 2 1/2 hours? hehe... I had a six inch red velvet cake with 1 dozen of red velvet cupcakes order from a long lost friend who's now currently based in Denmark. I knew it was scheduled to be delivered August 30th but for some reason I really got lost track of time. And so we went on with the day, in fact we had such a ginormous schedule yesterday! Damnit! Doctors appointment for dad and some neuro test for him too... we had our lunch  renewing the car's registration at LTO and got stuck for almost 3 hours because of their down system. Anyways, moving forward, when we were about to have our late lunch.... friend from Denmark texted asking me to send her the pic of the cake... I answered immediately.... "bukas ko pa gagawin" then she texted back and said "tonigh ang party" And I was like "weh" 😊 I started checking for the calendar and because to be honest... we knew all along it'll be for Saturday!!!!!! The heck! I started sipping like huge amount of sip of my very large Bonchon Iced tea... I almost choke! Its almost 4pm and the dinner will start at 7.... and we're still on the road 😞 damnDAMN! With orders cancelled, we headed off to go home.... with trafficc jam as our obstacle and fights in between.... I almost fainted!!! Once parked, I jumped off and ran.... hit the kitchen and preheated the oven! And alas I have no table sugar! Eeeeeer! really Eeeer! good thing this sugar can be bought at a nearby store..... 5pm the cake's hitting the oven! 5:30pm it was the cupcakes turn! woah! it felt like we're contending in Cupcake Wars with limited time to spare.... Hello... Im no PRO yet... I know that! but really at 6:30pm we're finally frosting and decorating! Superb! I was so happy and satisfied with the simple work done!!!

WOFEX... World Food Expo 2013

     Exhausted from work? Well that did not stop me from attending Wofex on its last day... After my 8 hour shift we directly went right away at SMX Convention not knowing that doors would still be open for the public by 10AM. Whew! Before heading off for breakfast we bumped with a new found friend... a lady whose lovely talks left us hungry (hihi) for a while. It was Robi Domingo's mom that kept us well seated while we waited for 2 hours... Anyways, it was one such talk indeed! She's such a doll! At 10:15am we almost forgot our purpose... haha! We then decided to register.... finally!

My very first Fondant Cake...

     On this day, I inclined myself with a whole new endevour in cake making... A challenge I thought I would never pull up...

      With 2 months preparation....... I finally made it! It was not that tedious after all. After the Caramel Cake I did last month I thought I am now ready to do this and so I did it this morning...... After my 2 week procrastination, in the middle of my work last Thursday..... I suddenly wanted to make the Ube cake at that very point...... but then again I was still in the middle of my shift and I knew I can't make it on a Friday as I still have my shift later that night! And so I set the date..... it'll be on Sunday! but I was so having one slouchy day! It was raining cats and dogs..... I decided to just not do it! but this morning I said.... I have to do it or else! And this is it! Thanks to my thorough research...... I finally come up with this...... I'm in bliss! I did not intend to write about it at this very moment as I just did my Inferno-Dan Brown moment earlier today but I was on this state that I was really so happy that I was able to create something that is not so much of my liking harhar! but I think it'll be one of my creations that I will dearly enjoy! 

     So for now..... be enticed! feast your eyes.... especially for those who love Purple Yam so much!

     Done reading the book....... I mean the eBook V purchased for me online... it was a surprise purchase after my longing to read the book and after all the so called controversies that lies having placed Manila Philippines in the brink of losing its tourism because of the negativity brought by the story.... with that note I was more inclined to read it all the more.......

I dunno! it was not my intention but whatever....... think I'll just have to go with the flow... 😉 so to all the greatest! Happy mom's day!

Happy Pawtee!

     It was our first time to celebrate our dog's special day in full blast that we extended an effort pulling off a birthday pawtee like this.... it was a success, indeed! 5 little fur babies for his guest was really phenomenal than no other dogs around for his first birthday! In addition to the loot bags and spaghetti as what other normal people does on their kid's first birthday...... I made 2 special treats, one for human and one for our cute fur babies....

     It was one exhausting day indeed! I started hitting the kitchen at 6 in the AM and unfortunately wasn't able to meet my 12pm deadline. Pawtee supposed to start at 2pm but I forced to move it at 3. Nevertheless, I have to finish everything before 2PM. I felt nausea in between the works! I thought I won't be able to decorate the cake....... but I tried my best to compose myself... to be able to finish my 4 course Simple meal. Good thing, I had my sister and partner to lend their hand on some of the kitchen works. It was just that I was really OCCUPIED with what to do really with the cake. Initially, I intended to cut it as a bone since I wasn't able to get a bone-shaped cake pan. With time constraints, I did not cut it anyway, with the fear that I might end up having a pawtee without a cake! With Plan B handy, I just decided to pipe out some icing  creating a bone shape and scribbled IKIE's name on the center of it! And tadah! there I was.... with hoorays and with all smiles with my work! Not that polished though..... but I know for a fact that taste wise.... it was awesome (that was of course according to some of my friends and my number one and ultimate followers.... my partner and my sister***)

 

     After the cake, I was faced with the battle of finishing the spaghetti sauce and making my home made garlic bread. After which I made sure that the chicken was cooked as I planned... Crispy outside and juicy in the inside! We had some trouble with the cheese stick though.... the cheese my li'l sis purchased was a quick melt so it always melt its way out of the lumpia wrapper... but we managed to fix it anyway! Wjoahhhhhh! At almost 2:30PM thank GOD, we're ALMOST done!  

 

     We packed everything that we needed, and headed our way to the party venue... Anyway, it was supposed to be done in AROMAPET in Tomas Morato where we usually take Ikie for his grooming but I decided not to anymore... I guess "WHEN FRUGALITY strikes again!" And so I asked my friend if we can celebrate the pawtee at their humble abode and they we're so kind enough to extend their place for the said celebration... by the way, it was the humble and very cozy home of the great Walter Bollozos (Philippine Star's in-house photographer). And with that in fact...... everybody expected a good old photoshoot after the pawtee itself.....

***I remembered how I bully my youngest sister of being so damn HEALTHY ( I mean so fat!) she answered back "If it wasn't of your constant delicious baking ATE back when I was still your li'l baby.... I wouldn't have gone this big :(    I'm sowee sissy! No one will taste but you guys!
